
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 11, 2025: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Telangana leader paid rich tributes to legendary Doctor and Surgeon Dr Vonteti Bhoom Reddy, who passed away on Monday due to age related ailments in Karimnagar town.
A solemn gathering was held in Karimnagar to pay heartfelt tributes to the late Dr Vonteti Bhoomireddy and social service sectors. Senior leaders of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) — Dr. Pesaru Vijayachander Reddy, Dr. K. Sudhaker Reddy, and Dr. Kasturi Prameela — visited Karimnagar and led the tribute, recognizing Dr. Bhoomi Reddy’s unparalleled contributions to medicine and community welfare.

Dr. Bhoomireddy played a pivotal role in the development of the Indian Medical Association and TANA (Telugu Association of North America), and was a driving force behind the establishment of Chalmeda Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences (CAIMS). For many years, he remained a lone pillar of dedicated healthcare service in Karimnagar, earning immense respect and admiration from the public.
Apart from his medical achievements, Dr. Bhoomireddy was deeply involved in community service through organisations like the Lions Club and the Indian Red Cross Society. His life stands as a testament to compassion, dedication, and societal commitment.
Prominent doctors and IMA leaders, including Dr. Vijender Reddy, Dr. B.N. Rao, Dr. Kishan, Dr. Naresh (President, IMA Karimnagar), Dr. Ram Kiran, and several others, joined in offering floral tributes and expressing their condolences.
The delegation personally met his son, Dr Surya Narayana Reddy and conveyed their sympathies, extending emotional support to the bereaved family.
Dr. Kavvampally Satyanarayana, MLA of Manakondur, also attended the tribute event and paid his respects, acknowledging Dr. Bhoomireddy Garu’s immense role in improving healthcare services and community development in the region.
