
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026: Md Shareef Ahmed, a Hindi teacher from Karimnagar district, has been selected for the prestigious ITA–2026 (Innovative Teacher Awards) in recognition of his innovative teaching practices, effective use of technology, and dedicated efforts toward students’ holistic development. The award organisers have invited him to receive the honour.
Shareef Ahmed is working as a Hindi teacher at ZP High School, Mallapur, Thimmapur Mandal. Along with traditional teaching methods, he effectively uses modern technology to create a simple, engaging and student-friendly learning environment. He uses digital content, video lessons, and Artificial Intelligence-based educational resources to make classroom learning more interesting and effective.
Special Recognition for Digital Teaching
Shareef Ahmed has been focusing on digital teaching since 2008. He has been creating subject-based video lessons, presentations and audio-visual learning content for students. At a time when technological facilities were limited in schools, he continued his efforts using his own laptop, pen drive, television and other available resources.
At present, he is also using Artificial Intelligence technology to develop innovative educational videos based on the curriculum. The video lessons prepared for Class X Hindi students support classroom teaching and enable students to revise lessons at home. He is also making educational content accessible to students through digital platforms, including social media and YouTube.
Encouraging Student Talent
Along with classroom teaching, Shareef Ahmed has been actively encouraging students to participate in Scouts and Guides activities at the state and national levels. He works to develop leadership qualities, service-mindedness, discipline, patriotism and social responsibility among students.
He has also been actively involved in awareness programmes related to student enrolment, environmental protection, road safety, water conservation, prevention of child marriages, health and sanitation.
Several Awards and Recognitions
For his services in the field of education, Shareef Ahmed has previously received several honours, including the State-level Best Teacher Award–2026, Best Scoutmaster Award, Paryavarana Mitra Award and Sakshi Excellence in Education Award, among others.
His selection for the ITA–2026 Award has been welcomed by the school community and local residents. He is scheduled to receive the award at the ITA–2026 Awards ceremony to be held at Harihara Kalabhavan.
