HYDERABAD, MARCH 12, 2024: Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar has assured to discuss the Gulf immigrants’ problems in the state cabinet and take the matter of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The TPCC NRI cell Chairman Dr BM Vinod Kumar, convenor Mandha Bheem Reddy, Gulf JAC general secretary Parikipandla Swadesh and others submitted a petition to Mr Ponnam Prabhakar at his residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday urging the government to provide an exgratia of Rs 5 lakh to the bereaved family members of the migrants who died of various reasons in Gulf nations. The Minister promised to provide all necessary social security measures to the Gulf Immigrants.
Immediately, Mr Prabhakar wrote a letter to the Chief Minister urging to provide Rs 5 lakh exgratia to Gulf victims and constitution of NRI Gulf workers welfare fund. The Minister also spoke to the officials concerned at CMO office and informed about the plight of the Gulf immigrants.
