KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 03, 2024: Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar has formally launched the official process for the issuance of ‘Digital Family Cards’ on a pilot basis in Taher Kodapur village of Karimnagar assembly segment on Thursday.
The Minister personally collected the details from the family members by visiting various houses in the village. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prabhakar said that Telangana government had decided to issue Digital Family cars on the lines of Aadhar card. The Digital family card would be as ration card, health card, pension and other all government welfare schemes.
Stating that the enumeration of family digital cards in 238 areas under the 119 assembly constituencies across the State on a pilot basis will be conducted from October 3 to 7, he said that they would not any details about the properties and assets and other financial details. The officials will take only a family group photo.
Alleging that the former government had not issued a single ration card during the last 10 years, he said that the women will be head of the family in the Digital family card. He said that the Karnataka and Haryana states have already issued digital family cards. He said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has decided to issue Digital family card every family in every village and habitations. Collector Pamela Satpathy and other officials were also present.
