KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 12, 2024: Onam festival celebrations reverberated through the KIMS College of Hotel Management campus in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
The celebrations were launched by KIMS Vice Chairman Saket Rama Rao. The beautifully designed pookalam, designed with varieties of flowers on the campus, was the highlight of the event.
Onam festival is a symbol of brotherhood, prosperity, unity. People of different castes and religions come together as casteists. The festival of “Onam” which promotes unity and cultural glory in the society, Keralites who have settled abroad also come back to their state and celebrate the festival with grandeur, said the Chief Guest of the program Saket Rama Rao, Vice Chairman of KIMS Group Of Institutions.
The people of Kerala celebrate the festival of “Onam” when ‘Balichakravarthy’ comes to the surface of the earth once a year. He informed about the importance of the festival. Hotel Management Principal Anush Reddy said that Onam festival is an agricultural ‘festival’ of Kerala. The hotel management students enthralled the guests with their attractive Kerala traditional attires along with special dishes. In this Programme Faculty members Goutham, Yashwanth, Ajay, Sathish, Ramu, Mohan Babu, Chandrakala, and Shalini more than 300 students participated.
