NSS unit of GDC (W) Golkonda participates in Traffic awareness programme in association with Traffic police

HYDERABAD, JANUARY 24, 2025: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of New Government Degree College for Women, Golconda Hyderabad, organized a traffic awareness program in collaboration with Traffic Police, Golkonda and Vasavi Engineering College students. The event aimed to educate the public about the importance of adhering to traffic rules.

The NSS volunteers, along with traffic police and engineering college students, gathered at Tipu Khan Bridge to create awareness among commuters. The volunteers took a symbolic bath, emphasizing the need for cleanliness and responsibility on roads.

The programme aimed to educate the public about traffic rules, road safety, and the consequences of reckless driving. By engaging with commuters and distributing awareness materials, the volunteers hoped to make a positive impact on road safety in the region.

The joint effort between the NSS unit, traffic police, and engineering college students demonstrated the power of collaboration in promoting social causes. By working together, the participants aimed to create a safer, more responsible driving culture.

The traffic awareness program empowered the youth to take responsibility for road safety and encouraged them to spread awareness among their peers. By promoting traffic awareness, the NSS unit and its partners hoped to reduce accidents and ensure a safer driving experience for all.

The NSS volunteers Sakeena Bhi B Com 1st year, Sharanya B Com 1st year, Manisha B com 1st year, Pooja BSc first year, VanithaB.com 1st year, Akshaya B Com 1st year, Sampoorna B Com 1st year, Pasha and eba B.com 2nd year participated in the programme along with NSS programme officer Humera Sayeed, Associate professor and Md Azer Khan, record assistant.
