KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 27, 2024: The National Independent School Alliance (NISA) Education Trust has announced its support to the candidature of TRSMA state advisor Yadagiri Shekhar Rao for contesting the Legislative Council elections from the Karimnagar Graduates Constituency as an Independent candidate.
In a statement here on Friday, NISA national president Kulbhushan Sharma said that Mr Shekhar played a significant role to the improvement of education standards in Telangana. His work in promoting teacher training through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has been instrumental in uplifting the quality of teaching in independent schools across the region. His leadership has also been pivotal in the advocacy for extending income tax exemption limits for educational societies from Rs one crore to Rs 5 crore, which has directly benefitted educational institutions, allowing them to focus on delivering quality education, he stated.
He also reminded that he had participated in Member of Parliament round table conference for addressing the issues in the education at both state and national level. In the light of past services and leadership and dedication to improving education, the NISA president said that Shekhar Rao is ideal candidate for the MLC position. His experience, vision and passion for education make him the right choice for representing the graduate constituency, he stated and called upon all sections of society to extend the support to Shekhar Rao and elect him as MLC to continue the vital work of transforming education and supporting the educated community.
