HYDERABAD, AUGUST 18, 2026: The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), Hyderabad, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, conducted a three-day capacity-building programme on “Advanced Techniques in Pesticide Application for Sustainable Crop Protection” for 27 professionals from M/s Shanmukha Agritech Pvt. Ltd.
The programme combined scientific knowledge with practical learning and covered important topics like advanced pesticide application techniques, how to calibrate sprayers, choose and maintain nozzles, ensure operator safety, manage soil health, understand pesticide toxicity, NPSS, Integrated Pest & Disease Management, and how drones can change agriculture.
The hands-on exposure visit to the Soil Health Management Laboratory in Rajendranagar provided participants with practical insights into sustainable approaches to soil fertility and crop productivity and was the key highlight of the programme.
By strengthening technical competencies and promoting responsible pesticide use, the programme aimed to contribute to safer farming, improved crop protection, and sustainable agricultural development.
