KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 30, 2026: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2026 examination was conducted peacefully on Sunday (August 30, 2026), with 1471 medical graduates appearing in various centres in Karimnagar town.
Against a total of 1505 candidates, 34 candidates abstained from the examinations conducted in seven centres in and around Karimnagar town.
Collector Chitra Mishra and Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam inspected the centres and reviewed the conduct of examinations in a transparent manner. They inspected the security, CCTV camera surveillance, biometric attendance, etc.
The NEET PG is conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses across the country. The NEET-PG entrance exam was conducted strictly in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
Meanwhile, the NEET PG examination comes months after the NEET UG 2026 examination, which was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 3 in pen-and-paper mode. The exam was later cancelled following allegations of a paper leak, with the NTA announcing a re-examination for affected candidates. The NEET UG re-examination was subsequently conducted on June 21.
