NCC cadets of Sacred Heart High School participate in rally against Drug Abuse in Godavarikhani

PEDDAPALLI, JUNE 26, 2024: NCC cadets of Sacred Heart High School in Godavarikhani coal belt area conducted an awareness rally carrying placards to create awareness regarding drug abuse and addiction on the occasion of International anti-narcotics day, which falls every year on June 26.

On this occasion, school Principal Sister Joshna Palepu and NCC First Officer PD Jyothsna educated the students the main purpose of rally to make the public aware of the ill-effects of drug addiction and to motivate them to stay away from one of the biggest social menaces facing today. They also made aware about the early signs of drug addiction and the support and help that can be received from various administrative platforms.

Later, the NCC cadets joined the rally organised by the district police machinery in the coal belt. Ramagundam Commissioner of Police M Srinivasa ACP Madatha Ramesh and other police personnel were also present. Doctor Laxmi Vani educated the gathering the ill-effects of drugs and other narcotics and empowered the students to desist from the drugs for a healthy living. During the rally, NCC cadets inspired the general public and passers-by to live a healthy and simple life by giving messages through placards.
