

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, FEBRUARY 25, 2025: To sustain love for books and develop a habit of reading in this digital epoch, the National Book Trust has commenced a mobile book expo at the Zilla Parishad High School, Jillela of Thagalapalli mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district on Tuesday with several thousands of books abroad its shelves.


The NBT Mobile book exhibition was inaugurated by NBT southern regional director and Sahitya Academy award winner Pathipaka Mohan along with ZPHS Jillela headmaster Joginapalli Anuradha.
On this occasion, Mr Pathika Mohan enlightened the students about the importance of reading books and distancing from the use of social media on mobile phones. He advised the students to use mobile phones for better purposes for collecting information.
Kandepi Rani Prasad (children’s literary writer) said special emphasis has been laid on children’s books to inculcate reading habits among them. Children literary writer Baithi Durgaiah, MEO Bhukya Raju, teaching faculty members K Rajeshwar Rao, Ramesh, Padma, Shailaja, Sirisha, Samatha, Sai Praneeth, Neeraja, Santosh and others were also present.
