KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 08, 2024: Eminent poet and writer Nalimela Bhaskar has been selected for the prestigious Praja Kavi Kaloji Narayana Rao Literary Award for the year 2024.
The award will be presented on Monday (September 9), during Kaloji Narayana’s birth anniversary celebrations. The award carries a citation, a shawl, a memento and Rs 1,01,116 cash prize.
Mr Bhaskar was born in Narayanpur village of Yellareddypet mandal in the Rajanna-Sircilla district. He won the Sahitya Academy translation award for translating Malayalam novel “ Smaraka Sashigal’ as ‘Smaraka Shilalu’ in Telugu in 2013.
Several academicians and literary activists have congratulated Mr Bhaskar for being selected for the award. Lok Satta Udyama Samstha leader R Chandra Prabhakar, academicians Sanjeev and others congratulated Mr Bhaskar.
