

HYDERABAD, APRIL 26, 2025: Manthena Narayana Raju Educational Trust (MNRET) marked a momentous milestone on Friday as it celebrated its 51st Foundation Day in conjunction with the 86th birthday of its visionary founder and chairman, the eminent educationist MN Raju. The celebrations were held with grandeur at the Trust’s expansive campus in Sangareddy.


The day-long festivities featured a vibrant mix of competitions and cultural performances by students and faculty, reflecting the spirit of joy and academic excellence that the institution embodies. A poignant documentary chronicling Dr. Raju’s inspiring journey—from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of educational leadership—was screened and received widespread acclaim from attendees.
“I began this journey 51 years ago with just 30 students in a modest setup,” Dr. MN Raju recalled, his voice filled with emotion. “Today, I feel immense pride in witnessing the phenomenal growth of our institutions, which have provided quality education to lakhs of students. This dream would not have been realised without the unwavering dedication of our faculty and staff,” he added. MNR Raju also expressed his deep satisfaction with the progress of MNR University under the leadership of his son, Chancellor Ravi Varma.
Chancellor Ravi Varma reaffirmed his commitment to carrying forward his father’s legacy: “Our Chairman instilled in us the uncompromising value of quality. We remain steadfast in our mission to take MNR University to greater heights, adhering to the high standards he set.”
The Chief Guest, Dr. Sujiv Nair—Global CHRO of Re Sustainability Ltd. and former CEO of Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK)—lauded MNR University’s vision and predicted a promising future for the institution on the global stage. He called upon faculty members to develop digital curiosity to deal with the abundant data generated by new technologies.
“Teachers should develop a digital portfolio while giving importance to digital wellness,” he said. He urged students and faculty to embrace emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving world.
MV Rami Reddy, President of the Ramy Foundation and Guest of Honour, encouraged students to draw inspiration from Dr. MN Raju’s life and strive relentlessly toward excellence. He underlined the need of carrying kindness to make the society the best place to live.
Vice Chancellor Dr. RVR Krishna Chalam and Registrar Dr. TV Satyanarayana also addressed the gathering, commending the Trust’s relentless pursuit of academic excellence and holistic development. Dr V Alagar Swamy, Principal, College of Pharmacy and Lavanya, Director-Schools, also spoke.
