
NALGONDA, JUNE 09, 2026: Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) is excited to launch its new initiative, “Library at Your College,” which will take place every Tuesday. This innovative program, conceived by Vice Chancellor Prof Khaja Althaf Hussain, made its debut at the University College of Arts and Social Sciences (UCASS) and the University College of Commerce and Business Management (UCCBM). Held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, students and faculty had the chance to explore a wide array of books, including resources for competitive exams, research materials, and a variety of literary and academic publications from the university’s central library.
Students eagerly took advantage of the opportunity, browsing through the collection and selecting titles that catered to their educational and research interests. In his remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof Khaja Althaf Hussain emphasised the initiative’s goal of directly providing library resources to students. In-charge of the University Library Dr Premsagar remarked that the “Library at Your College” program would be held weekly across different colleges, aiming at enhancing library services and fostering a passion for reading among students. Registrar Prof Koppula Anji Reddy, Principal of UCASS and Director of the Students’ Welfare Cell Dr K Aruna Priya, Principal of UCCBM Prof Sridevi, along with teachers, researchers and students were present.
