HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 04, 2024: A media delegation from Hyderabad called on the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr Manoj Sinha, at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar on Monday. The delegation was headed by Shri Qazi Salman, Joint Director of Press Information Bureau, Srinagar, and Dr Manas Krishnakanth, Deputy Director, PIB Hyderabad.
During the interaction, Lieutenant Governor Mr Manoj Sinha highlighted the transformative developmental initiatives undertaken in J&K, aimed at enhancing infrastructure, improving quality of life, and promoting sustainable growth across the region. He elaborated on the Union Territory’s major strides in key sectors, particularly emphasizing the water bodies’ conservation project aimed at protecting and rejuvenating J&K’s unique natural resources, and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), which focuses on modernizing the agricultural sector to improve productivity, income, and sustainability for local farmers.
The Lieutenant Governor welcomed the media delegation from Hyderabad and expressed his full support for their visit. He underscored the importance of such interactions in fostering a better understanding of J&K’s progress and extended the necessary facilitation and assistance to the visiting delegates.
The delegation is in the Union Territory as part of a Media Outreach Programme organized by PIB Hyderabad. Over the next few days, the delegation will participate in various field visits and discussions to gain firsthand insights into the developmental projects and initiatives of Government of India those are shaping the future of Jammu & Kashmir.
