
KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 20, 2025: The LIC Insurance Corporation Employees Union (ICEU) Karimnagar district unit members have staged a one-hour walk-out strike demanding the management to take up recruitment of Class 3 and 4 cadres and recognition of the Union in front of the LIC divisional office in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, ICEU divisional president Rammohan Rao charged that the government was bent upon diluting the LIC by using the IRDA Act, 1999. Flaying the government for neglecting the burden and plight of employees, he demanded the government to take up the filling up of vacant Class 3 and 4 cadres to provide better services to the customers. He also demanded the government to recognize the All-India Insurance Employees Association which has more than 90 percent membership in the country.

Insurance Corporation Pensioners Association division general secretary Lakshmikantham demanded the government to take recruitment of the staff and extend support for the ICEU. Divisional leaders Anupama, Srilatha, Mahesh, Prabhakar Chary, D Srinivas, B Srinivas, Venkata Swamy, Raja Narasimha and others were also present.
