KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 10, 2024: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Karimnagar region has donated a bus worth Rs 31 lakhs to the residential school maintained by Jeeyyar Educational Trust (JET) Society in Allampalli village of Kadem mandal of Nirmal district at LIC Divisional office in Karimnagar town on Saturday.
LIC South Central Zone Zonal Manager Puneet Kumar has handed over the keys of the bus to the educational trust. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kumar said that the LIC along with social security to its customers was also actively participating in CSR activities. As part of Golden Jubilee Foundation activities, the LIC has donated the bus school for the benefit of tribal students.
Karimnagar Regional Manager (Marketing) Utup Joseph reminded that the LIC had created a corpus fund of Rs 100 crore in the year 2006 and so far they had participated in social service activities worth over Rs 150 crore. Karimnagar senior divisional manager Prasad Rao said that they had recently donated a bus to the Lions charitable eye hospital in Rekurthi on the outskirts of Karimnagar town.
He thanked the LIC South Central management for sanctioning another bus to the Jeeyyar Educational Trust (JET) in Nirmal district. Nirmal JET president S Prabhakar Rao said that the LICs’ gesture of donating a bus would help the tribal students to pursue their education and thanked the gesture of LIC.
LIC marketing manager MRK Srinivas, Sales Manager Rajesh Khanna, Class-I officers association leaders Raja Narender and R Satyanarayana, Class-2 officers association leaders Vasudeva Reddy, Kamalakar, Insurance corporation employees union leaders Rammohan Rao, Basaveshwar, agents association leaders Penchala Ranga Rao, Gattu Rajaiah, G Venugopal, OBC association leaders Sathaiah, Prabhakara Chary, SC\ST association leaders Deva Singh and others were also present.
