HYDERABAD, JUNE 05, 2026: Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti has called upon everyone to contribute towards the protection of Mother Earth through environmental awareness by reducing plastic usage, planting more trees, and promoting greenery.
On the occasion of World Environment Day on Friday, he planted saplings on the premises of Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad. Addressing SCCL employees, he urged them to adopt environmentally responsible practices both in their professional duties and personal lives. Subsequently, all participants took an Environmental Protection Pledge.
Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti also distributed prizes to the winners of the Essay Writing, Elocution, and Quiz Competitions conducted as part of the World Environment Day celebrations. Director (Personnel & Finance) Shri Gautham Potru and Executive Director (Coal Movement) Shri B. Venkanna also participated in the programme and planted saplings. General Manager (Coordination & Marketing) Shri T. Srinivas, along with officers and employees from various departments, attended the event.
World Environment Day was also observed across all SCCL Areas, where plantation programmes and awareness activities were conducted at several locations.
