KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 08, 2024: With rising incidences of sexual assault against young children in the country, the students of Government Primary School in Kisan nagar in Karimnagar town were sensitised on ‘Good touch and bad touch’.
Leo club students of Government degree college for women, Karimnagar, have enacted a small skit to create awareness about ‘good touch and bad touch’ under the guidance of Leo club coordinator N Sangeetha Rani and Lions Club women wing district coordinator Ragi Vandana on Thursday.
“We have organised programmes for the students and teach them what is good touch and bad touch by enacting a small play by our students. Also, it’s the duty of parents to teach the kids difference between the two”, said N Sangeetha. “Incidents of molestation, eve teasing and rape have gone up. The kids are even not being spared. It is really important to teach kids at their level in a simple language, she stated.
Later, Ragi Vandana with the support of Leo student distributed notebooks and biscuits to the students. After the skit, there was an interactive session with the students. They said that they would conduct similar programmes in all other government schools in a phased manner. Leo team of students; Sunandini, Sanjana, Shivani, Akshita, Bhargavi, Sailikhita , Rashmita and others performed the skit. On this occasion, college principal T Sree Lakshmi congratulated Leo team coordinator Sangeetha and her team of students.
