Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao Calls Upon Students to Embrace Innovation, AI and Research
SIDDIPET, AUGUST 27, 2026: Kaveri University, School of Engineering and Technology, in Siddipet district, successfully concluded the two-week Induction Programme for newly admitted first-year B.Tech students for the academic year 2026-27 on Thursday. The programme commenced on August 17, 2026, as part of the Orientation Programme, with the objective of providing students with a strong foundation for their academic and professional journey.
The valedictory session was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Kaveri University, who warmly welcomed the new students to the university community. He encouraged students to pursue academic excellence while developing discipline, innovation, research aptitude, professional skills and ethical values.
Addressing the students, Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao highlighted the growing importance of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and emerging technologies in transforming industries and society. He encouraged students to develop analytical thinking, creativity, communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing technological environment.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasised the importance of transforming knowledge and technology into practical solutions for real-world and societal challenges. He motivated students to actively participate in research, innovation, entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary learning, and urged them to become creators and innovators rather than merely consumers of technology.
During the two-week programme, students were introduced to the university’s academic programmes, campus facilities, laboratories, library resources, research opportunities and student support systems. The programme also featured valuable sessions on behavioural learning, professional development, emerging technologies, innovation, ethics, communication, mind management, startups and student motivation.
