Karimnagar youth secures all-India 27th rank in UPSC Civil Services

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 16, 2024: Son of a beedi roller, Nandala Sai Kiran, from Velichala village of Ramadugu mandal, in Karimnagar district, has secured All-India 27th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examinations 2023, for which the results which were declared on Tuesday.

A hardware engineer by profession, Sai Kiran was working with Quallcomm in Hyderabad. He started preparations for Civil Services from 2021 onwards. He studied from Teja residential high school in Karimnagar town and passed SSC in 2012. He completed his Intermediate education from Trinity junior college, Karimnagar and pursued B Tech (ECE) at NIT Warangal. He cracked the Civils in his second attempt.

Incidentally, Mr Sai Kiran secured the rank without any coaching in any private institutions. He totally relied on YouTube and other online websites for information and read books. His father Kantha Rao was a weaver and passed away several years ago. His mother Lakshmi, who rolled the beedis to eke out a living, played a vital role in supporting in his education and fulfill his dream. His sister is working as assistant engineer in RWS department in Boinpalli of Rajanna-Sircilla district.
