Karimnagar DCCB launches United Nations International Year of Cooperatives 2025

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 25, 2025: Mr Konduru Ravinder Rao, Chairman of Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank and NAFSCOB has formally inaugurated the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives 2025 on Saturday.

The programme was organised in Karimnagar town with International Cooperative Banking Association (ICAP) and International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), NAFSCOB and NABARD. Incidentally, the International Year of Cooperatives was first celebrated in Telangana after its formal launch by Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah in Mumbai on January 24, 2025).

The NAFSCOB chairman hoisted the Cooperative flag and sang the cooperative song on this occasion. NABARD retired CGM Mohanaiah, motivational speaker Radhasri, DCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, Vice chairman Pingali Ramesh, Directors, V Mohan Reddy, Swami Reddy, D Kishan Rao, M Ramchander Raom V Kamalakar, M Sagar, B Gopal, A Ramesh and others were also present. They also released a souvenir.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravinder Rao said that “last 20 years of my association with the DCCB is the best part of my life and I will cherish my rest of my life”. Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Year of Cooperatives-2025 on November 27, 2024, he said that they would chalk a series of programmes to celebrate the year of Cooperatives in the district.

He informed the bankers of the International Year of Cooperatives logo on the official letterheads, posters, pamphlets, official notes, and financial literary camp posters to educate the people about the importance of cooperatives.

NABARD retired CGM Mohanaiah said that the Karimnagar DCCB, which has emerged as a role model, should also set a target for the year 2047 (Viksit Bharath) to expand its business in the district. The KDCCB has young staff, and they would definitely achieve the goal, he said. He added that the bank’s existing market share should grow to 24 percent from the existing 12 percent in the integrated Karimnagar district.

Motivational Speaker Radhasri said that though the management had instructed me to give a motivational speech to the staff, the employees were fully-charged and energetic. He said that the KDCCB was having full human resources. He also advised the employees to love their customers and not lose the opportunity to increase.
