HANAMKONDA, FEBRUARY 22, 2025: The Kakatiya Government College (autonomos), Hanamkonda, Warangal, in association with GENPACT and TSKC and Placement Cell of the College successfully conducted a Two-Week training Programme on Finance and Accounting for final-year B.Com and BBA students. The programme was conducted from February 10 to 22, 2025, and aimed to enhance students’ industry-relevant skills, providing them with practical insights into the finance and accounting domain.

During the training, students gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience, equipping them with essential skills to enhance their employability. The initiative was a significant step toward bridging the gap between academia and industry requirements.
Accounting in real terms involves handling real avenues, transactions and finances. Opting for short-term certified accounts courses provides the requisite skills and knowledge needed for various industries and businesses. Such courses are also high in demand during such highly unprecedented times. These courses impart in-depth accounting training, soft skills development, job grooming, and practical training through industry-based study modules. Students get a hands-on knowledge of accounting through subjects, including Business Computer Applications, Business Accounting, TallyPrime, Business Communication, Direct Taxes, TDS, GST, Advanced Account, Additional Accounting Package, Advanced MS Excel, SAP, Banking and Auditing and more. All of these skills contribute to the skills and knowledge necessary for job adaptation in the accountancy sector. In the short-term courses more emphasis has been given to practical knowledge than theoretical one. Students right away gain knowledge through live training.
The valedictory session was graced by Principal G. Raja Reddy, Vice Principal Rajani Latha, TSKC Coordinator D. Rajashekhar, Placement Officer A. Anil Kumar, Controller of Examinations Shivanaga Srinivas, and GENPACT Representatives Manjula and Sayeed. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the college in providing skill-oriented training to students and thanked GENPACT for their valuable support in enhancing students’ career prospects.
The programme concluded on a high note, with students expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from industry experts. The college remains committed to organizing similar initiatives to foster skill development and employment opportunities for its students.
