Mega job fairs under the aegis of the State Government and Singareni — bringing smiles to unemployed youth
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 24, 2025: In line with the Telangana State Government’s vision to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed, The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has been extending full support in organising Mega Job Fairs as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
So far, job fairs organised at Madhira, Wyra, Godavarikhani, and Bhupalpally towns with Singareni’s support have successfully employed over 11,000 job seekers, a remarkable achievement.
Continuing this success, Mega Job Fairs are being organised on Saturday, October 25 at Huzurnagar (Suryapet District), and on Sunday, October 26 at Sathupalli (Khammam District) and Bellampalli (Mancherial District), with Singareni’s sponsorship. Large-scale arrangements are being made for these events, along with extensive awareness campaigns through posters, loudspeakers, and social media platforms such as WhatsApp.A QR code has been created and printed on posters and shared in groups for easy registration, which has proven highly convenient for job seekers — thousands have already registered. Meanwhile, around 200 private companies, including several from Hyderabad, have been invited to participate and conduct interviews at the event to recruit candidates according to their manpower needs.
The fairs provide opportunities for candidates with educational qualifications ranging from 7th standard to postgraduate levels, including diploma and engineering graduates.
In the previous four job fairs, 80 to 100 private companies participated each time. These companies announce available vacancies on-site, allowing eligible and interested candidates to apply directly, attend spot interviews, and even receive appointment letters on the same day. Many participants have expressed joy at securing employment within hours of applying.
Though the jobs offered are in the private sector, candidates have welcomed this initiative, noting that earlier they had to travel to Hyderabad and spend significant money and effort visiting multiple companies in search of jobs. Now, thanks to the State Government’s initiative, Singareni’s CSR efforts, and the cooperation of the Department of Industries and other departments, job fairs are being held right in their towns — giving them access to employment without any expense or hardship.
Singareni is also providing several facilities for candidates attending the fairs, including drinking water and lunch arrangements.
The earlier events saw impressive participation and results:
- Madhira (April 21): 5,000 participants, 2,300 employed
- Bhupalpally (April 27): 3,500 participants, 2,000 employed
- Godavarikhani (May 18): 5,100 participants, 3,029 employed
- Wyra (May 24): over 12,000 participants, 4,041 employed
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy Sri Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has been actively overseeing the conduct of these job fairs and advised Singareni to extend full support under its CSR initiatives. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Sri N. Balram stated that Singareni would continue to support such programs not only for unemployed youth in Singareni areas but also for others across the State. He emphasised that the company’s goal is to provide employment opportunities matching candidates’ educational qualifications and that job fairs will soon be organized in all Singareni operational areas.
Overall, these Mega Job Fairs have become a boon for unemployed youth across Telangana, symbolising a significant step toward fulfilling their employment aspirations.
