

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 26, 2026: Students of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS), Karimnagar town, excelled at the Code Unnati, a CSR initiative by SAP India, a state-level competition and programme implemented by Edunet Foundation, by securing second runner-up position in the prestigious ‘Code Unnati Innovative Marathan, conducted at TASK headquarters in Hyderabad.

Out a total of 450m participating teams from entire Telangana state, only 25 teams made to finals and JITS students showcased their innovation and technical excellence to achieve the remarkable milestone. Winning Team Members: Ajith Shanagonda (21271A0503) IV-CSE A, Akshith Shanagonda (21271A6606) IV-CSM A, and Mahender Lyagala (21271A0517) IV-CSE A.
These students had designed a project, AI Crop Care, is an AI-powered application” designed to assist farmers with crop disease detection, crop recommendations, cost optimization, market/weather alerts, and financial/government support links. This solution has the potential to transform agriculture and support farmers in making informed decisions.
On this occasion, JITS chairman J Sagar Rao, secretary J Sumith Sai, Principal Anil Kumar, Dean PK Vaishali and other faculty members congratulated the students for their excellent performance and innovative idea by using AI technology to help the farming community.
