
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 16, 2025: Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) (autonomous) Karimnagar, conducted a session on “EMPOWERING INNOVATORS –A GUIDE TO ENTERPRENEURSHIP” on Wednesday. The event was held as part of an institutional initiative aligned with the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, aimed at promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment through structured incubation support.
Professor K. C. Choudhury, Ex-Assistant Director Grade I, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the event. With over 36 years of service in MSME, Mr Choudhury has been instrumental in guiding business incubators, consulting startups, and delivering strategic programs for enterprise development across India.
In his keynote address, Mr Choudhury emphasised the importance of institutional incubation in supporting young innovators, offering guidance on MSME schemes, Udyam registration, and funding avenues available to student-led ventures. His talk inspired the students and faculty to think beyond academics and take initiative in building sustainable, scalable ideas.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp (Jyothi Prajwalana), followed by welcome speeches from Principal T. Anil Kumar and Head of the Department R. Jegadeesan, who collectively emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship in today’s academic and economic environment.
The ceremony was anchored by G. Sindhusha, Assistant Professor, P.Pranitha and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, department heads, and final-year students from CSE, CSM, and ECE branches. The dignitaries also shared their vision for how the incubation centre would serve as a launchpad for ideas that contribute to both local development and national innovation goals.
As a symbolic step towards growth and sustainability, a tree plantation was also organised as a part of the event. Neem and peepal Tree saplings were planted on the college premises by the chief guest, the college management, faculty members and students. This green initiative marked the institution’s commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term development. A formal vote of thanks was delivered, followed by group photographs to mark the occasion.
