JAGTIAL, MARCH 07, 2025: Women faculty members of Government Degree College for Women, Jagtial, celebrated International Women’s Day with pomp and gaiety on the college premises on Thursday evening.
On this occasion, the women faculty members led by NSS programme officer N Sangeetha Rani, Vasavi, Kumari Neeraja, D Sujatha, Srilatha, Jamuna, Sunitha, Jyotsna, Irfana, Rakshita, Geetha and others participated in the celebrations by participating in several fun games such as musical chairs, Anthakshari and more.
On this occasion, Principal K Ramakrishna said the position of women in contemporary society was exuberant, where she was not only rocking at her workplace but also balancing her various roles back at home as well. He also added, “It is the need of the hour that the empowered women should take the lead and become the voice for the voiceless, breaking all barriers. At every level in the society, be it economic, political or social, today we see women doing their best.”
