India is the leader in UPI transactions, says Collector Pamela Satpathy

SRR College conducts a two-day national seminar on emerging trends and challenges in Commerce and Business management

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 08, 2025: India is a leader in the Unified payment interface (UPI) and digital payments, said Collector Pamela Satpathy.

Participating at the valedictory function of the two-day national seminar on “Emerging trends and challenges in Commerce and Business Management” organised by the Department of Commerce and Business Administration at SRR Government at Arts and Science college in association with the Telangana State Higher Education Council in Karimnagar town on Wednesday, the Collector said that the colleges should emerge as Research centres and their research findings should be implemented at the grass-root level.

She reminded that India emerged as the leader in UPI payments and the idea itself originated from a small research paper. She appreciated the SRR college management for conducting the national seminar.

The two-day national seminar was inaugurated by Satavahana University Vice Chancellor Prof U Umesh Kumar. SRR College principal K Ramakrishna, University of Hyderabad faculty Rajashekhar, IQAC coordinator Harjoth Kaur, seminar organising secretary M Malla Reddy, SU Registrar Jasti Ravi Kumar, LIC senior manager SV Prasad Rao, vice principal P Nithin and others were also present.

The seminar selected the best research paper presenters as Kambelli Abhiram, Kanchu Tirupathi, R Kiran Kumar and R. Velvigi.
