HYDERABAD, MARCH 25, 2026: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Oil Marketing Companies) wish to assure the public that adequate stocks of Petrol and Diesel are available across Hyderabad and all districts of Telangana.
All petroleum terminals and supply points of the Oil Marketing Companies are fully stocked, and fuel supplies to retail outlets are continuing smoothly to meet the demand of customers.
It has been observed that in certain locations, an unusual surge in fuel purchases has occurred due to panic buying, which temporarily impacted availability at a few retail outlets. The Oil Marketing Companies would like to clarify that there is no shortage of fuel (both Petrol and Diesel). Such temporary disruptions are solely due to a sudden spike in demand.
To address this, supplies to affected outlets are being prioritised, and inventory levels at petrol pumps are being continuously monitored to ensure normalisation at the earliest.
The Oil Marketing Companies strongly urge the public not to indulge in panic buying or unnecessary stocking of fuel, as the supply chain is functioning normally and sufficient fuel is available.
The public is also advised to avoid unsafe practices, such as storing petrol in plastic cans, bottles, or other unapproved containers, as this poses serious safety hazards.
The Oil Marketing Companies remain committed to ensuring seamless fuel availability and customer safety. Supplies from refineries are continuing as usual, and production has been ramped up to ensure uninterrupted availability of Petrol and Diesel across Telangana.
