JAGTIAL, APRIL 01, 2026: As part of the “Academic Empowerment Programme for Government Degree Colleges – 100 Days Initiative” implemented under the guidance of Satavahana University, a two-day “Hindi Translation Training Workshop” organised at Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous) in Jagtial town was inaugurated on Wednesday.
On this occasion, Chief Guest Prof. Pathan Rahim Khan, in his inaugural address, stated that “Hindi translation can preserve the Indian spirit.” He emphasised that translation plays an important role in preserving and disseminating the rich traditions of Indian languages and culture. Explaining the significance of translation to students, he described it as an effective medium for the exchange of knowledge.
The programme was presided over by the college Principal, Prof. K. Ramakrishna. In his address, he encouraged students to make the best use of the workshop and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants. He noted that such academic initiatives help enhance the knowledge and skills of students.
Workshop coordinator Prof. Vasala Varaprasad explained the objectives and outline of the workshop. He stated that the training would help students understand the practical aspects of Hindi translation.
The event was attended by the college Vice-Principal T. Pramod Kumar and Hindi faculty members Anantha Lakshmi, E. Rajkumar, Rajeswar and others. Faculty members N Sangeeta Rani, G. Ramachandram, S. Mallikarjun, V. Jamuna, G. Neeraja, G. Srilata and others congratulated the Head of the Hindi Department, Prof. Vasala Varaprasad, for his efforts in successfully organising the workshop.
