
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 12, 2026: As part of ongoing 99-day Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika and the seventh day of the programme, a health awareness and a medical camp were organised at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Shatrajupalli, Vemulawada, under the initiative of the NSS unit, on Thursday.
The awareness sessions were conducted by Dr Aishwarya from Hanmajipet Primary Health Centre (PHC). During the programme, she explained the importance of proper nutrition, maintaining menstrual hygiene, and following a balanced diet for overall health. Activities related to balanced diet awareness were also conducted for the students.
As part of the programme, the doctor addressed students regarding chronic diseases, interacted with them about their health concerns, and provided guidance for follow-up care. A follow-up medicinal indent was also prepared based on the available medicines to support students who require medical attention. In addition, a health camp was conducted for the students.


Awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene and balanced diet were also conducted by Reddymalla Deepthi, HoD, Department of Botany, and G. Swapna, HoD, Department of Microbiology, to educate students about maintaining proper health and hygiene.
The programme was conducted by the NSS unit, with G. Arpitha, Department of Chemistry, serving as the in-charge.
Principal K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, NSS Coordinator V. Swapna, Council Members G. Swapna and G. Rajini, and Health Supervisor P. Sumalatha participated in the programme and encouraged the students to adopt healthy lifestyle practices.
