
RAMAGUNDAM, JUNE 23, 2025: The half-yearly meeting of the Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti (TOLIC) was held on 23rd June 2025 at NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana. The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Mr Chandan Kumar Samanta, Executive Director (R&T).
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Mr Anirban Kumar Vishwas, Deputy Director (Implementation), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Representatives from various offices participated in the meeting and presented reports on the implementation of Hindi in their respective organisations. These reports were reviewed by Samanta and Vishwas.
In his address, Vishwas shed light on existing Rajbhasha policies and upcoming changes that aim to further strengthen the use of Hindi. He urged all participants to use Hindi more actively in official work and to encourage their colleagues to do the same.
Samanta, while sharing his thoughts, said that Hindi serves as a link among all languages. He also suggested that there should be a fixed budget and an annual calendar dedicated to Hindi, to enable the systematic organisation of various activities such as competitions, workshops, meetings, kavi sammelans, and other events. He emphasised that language is a powerful medium to express emotions and thoughts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, three offices were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to the promotion of Hindi. SBI Bank received the first prize, which was accepted by Ravindra Kumar, Regional Head, along with Team SBI.
Union Bank was awarded the second prize, received by D. Aparna Reddy, Deputy General Manager, along with Team Union Bank.
NTPC was given the third prize, which was received by Bijoy Kumar Sikdar, Head of HR, along with his team.
More than 30 participants actively took part in the event. The programme concluded with the release of a special Hindi magazine edition, published as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Rajbhasha Department, featuring a collection of poems and articles.
