
Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy inaugurates four innovative waste-to-wealth models at the GSI office
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 27, 2025: The Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, conducted by Geological Survey of India, Southern Region, Hyderabad, started with the inauguration of Swachhotsav Rally by Mr Basab Mukhopadhyay, ADG & HoD, SR from Anand Nagar Junction, Bandlaguda to GSI Office Main Gate, Mansoorabad Road and also conducted the Mass Cleaning Drive along with DDGs, Directors, Officers and Staff members of GSI, Local Residents and General Public.
Union Minister of Coal and Mines Mr G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated four numbers of innovative Waste to Wealth Models at the GSI Office, Bandlaguda-Nagole, Hyderabad. The Minister distributed the Sanitation Kits to the Sanitation workers of GHMC and GSI.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the Swachhotsav event_(Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 under Swachha Bharat Mission Initiative) and expressed his happiness towards the sanitary and Swachhata initiatives taken by the GSI, SR, Hyderabad. He also praised the innovative mineral exploration work of GSI for unwavering service since 175 years to the Nation.
A total of 400 members comprising DDGs, Directors, Officers and staff members of GSI, along with Local Corporates and local public, participated in this programme. The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by PVVR Sarma, Director, GSI and the National Anthem.
