KARIMNAGAR, JULY 20, 2024: As part of the Green India Mission and Bonalu festival, the students of Sri Chaitanya School, Boyawada, Karimnagar town, have pledged to plant a sapling and strive for its protection and grow into a huge tree on Saturday.
Karimnagar Mayor Y Shekhar Rao and corporator Anoof participated in the celebrations by planting saplings. On this occasion, the Mayor called upon the students to play a crucial role in the plantation and protection of saplings for the future generation.
Similarly, the students participated in the annual bonalu celebrations with religious fervour and gaiety. The girl students arrived in their best attire carrying bonams and the boys as ‘potharajus’ danced to the rhythmic beats and captivated the audience. School AGM M Raju, Principal N Padmaja, Dean Vijaya Krishna, primary incharge Poornima, pre-primary inchjarge, AO Manohar Reddy, Srikanth and others were also present.
