Govt school students’ science models win awards at Southern India Science fair

PEDDAPALLI, FEBRUARY 03, 2024: Science exhibits prepared by the students of Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad High Schools in Peddapalli district have won awards at the Sothern India Science Fair conducted at Murali convention in Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh state.

A science model “Portable Wheel Chair Ramp” designed by the ZPHS Ragineedu students R Keerthana (ninth class) and B Sathvika (eighth class) with the help of their guide teacher K Jagdeeshwar Reddy emerged as the best exhibits from the Telangana State in the senior category. Similarly, in the Teacher category of Teaching Learning Material, Physics Teacher P. Surendar of Sultanabad  Mandal Zilla Parishad High School, Poosala, presented a model on ‘Innovation in Science : Bridging ICT – Lab ‘ which was “Bharat Electronics Limited-special prize “.

During the closing ceremony, Andhra Pradesh Samagra Shiksha  Project Officer B Srinivasa Rao, Director of State Education Research Training Institute Dr. B. Pratap Reddy, V.I.T.M. Bangalore Curator Jyoti Mehra presented the certificates and awarded the winners.  On this occasion, Peddapalli DEO D Madhavi, District Science Officer B Ravinandan Rao and Headmasters Agaiah and Srinivas congratulated the students and their guide teachers on receiving the awards and prizes in SISF in different context.
