RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, AUGUST 25, 2024: In an unparalleled feat, the medical fraternity at the Government Area hospital in Vemulawada temple town have set a record by performing 17 operations within 24 hours and winning over the confidence of the patients.
During the last 24 hours, the doctors and the para-medical staff have conducted different surgeries such as six deliveries, the removal of tumour from the uterus, three normal surgeries, two eye operations and five ortho operations.
Hospital Superintendent and civil surgeon Dr Penchalaiah, gynaecologists Dr Sandhya and Dr Ratnamala, orthopeadician Dr Anil and anaesthesia doctors Dr Rajasree and Dr Thirupati and other para-medical staff participated in the surgeries.
District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS) and hospital superintendent Dr Penchalaiah said that the 100-bedded Area Hospital is fully equipped with all facilities and informed the people to utilise the government hospital services free of cost. He assured to provide more facilities with the support of the Government Whip and local legislator Adi Srinivas and Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha.
