HYDERABAD, APRIL 05, 2025: Government Degree College, Rajendranagar (Shamashabad) celebrated its first annual day with much pomp and gaiety on Saturday.
Rajendranagar constituency MLA Prakash Goud participated as Chief Guest, former Municipal Chairperson of Shamshabad K Sushma Mahender Reddy as Guest of honour, and local political leaders graced the occasion.
Since, from the establishment of the college in 2022, the struggles, achievements and the future plans of the college executed in the form the college annual report with special emphasis on the college strength improvement and programmes conducted by college like AI training Programme, training on soft skills, celebration of important days, state and National festivals, establishment of NSS unit, awareness programme on anti-ragging, say no to drugs, She team programmes etc.
College Principal M Himabindu expressed her gratitude to MLA Prakash Goud for his support in running the college successfully and she also requested the MLA for the allocation of land to the Degree College, for which MLA Prakash Goud responded positively.
The importance of education and the good education to the Rajendranagar constituency, the struggle to bring the college to Shamshabad explained to all the students. Within a short time, the college stood up and is competing with the private colleges, for which the MLA appreciated the principal and staff for their contribution.
Former Municipal Chairman Shamshabad K Sushma Mahender Reddy congratulated the principal for celebrating the first annual day celebrations. The dignitaries felicitated the students, who excelled as college toppers from all the groups, by presenting them with the gold medals. Students actively participated in the cultural events, for which the MLA expressed his happiness.
