

HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 21, 2025: The Government Degree College, Rajendranagar. Shamshabad hosted a successful food festival on Friday.


MLA Prakash Goud participated as chief guest. The event, which showcased a diverse array of cuisines, was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from faculty and students.
On this occasion, MLA Prakash Goud emphasized the importance of a nutritious diet and highlighted how the festival would help students discover their entrepreneurial skills. He encouraged the students to take up innovative ventures in the food industry, promoting self-employment and economic growth.
The programme is also graced by Sushma Mahender Reddy who was ex-chairperson of Shamshabad municipality and also SIRI welfare society. Principal M Himabindu, the brainchild behind the festival, spoke about the significance of a balanced diet and how the event would help students develop culinary skills. She emphasized the importance of healthy eating habits and the need to promote entrepreneurship among students.
The festival featured a variety of stalls, each offering a unique culinary experience. Students showcased their culinary skills, preparing a range of dishes, from traditional Telugu cuisine to modern fusion food. The event also provided a platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills, with many students selling their own food products.
The event aimed to promote healthy eating habits, entrepreneurship, and culinary expertise among students. With its achievement, Govt Degree College Rajendranagar (Shamshabad) has set a precedent for similar initiatives in the future. The college plans to make the food festival an annual event, providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the food industry.
