GAJWEL, FEBRUARY 22, 2025: The Department of English of Government Degree College for Women, Gajwel, has conducted a workshop on Mastering the Art Of Communication as part of the International Mother Language Day celebrations on Saturday.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal and Chairperson of the programme Anita Abraham. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal said the celebration of Mother Language Day acknowledges the importance of our mother languages in shaping our identities and cultures She reiterated that the day is a Testament to the power of languages in uniting us and promoting linguistic and cultural diversity
Head of the Department of English K . Kamala Christiana said that the celebrations remind the responsibility of educators to promote cultural heritage the cultural diversity and to protect endangered languages. She said the program will be packed with poster making, Presentations and Language Tree.
The resource person MS Aradhana George, Senior Global Marketing Manger, from New Jersey, United States of America, conducted a workshop on “ Master the Art Of Communication: Speak so People Listen, ( Unlock the Power of WHY to transform the way you Communicate.). She explained the Mastering Of Communication enables the person to communicate, Persuasively, and memorably. She stressed Unlocking the Power WHY with Golden Circle Concept which revolutionizes the way of communication. She explained the framework works of various circles, WHY- the inner circle, HOW- the middle circle, and WHAT – the outer circle. The resource person explained the incorporation of Golden circles into life, builds trust, and confidence and kindles motivation among people. Later she conducted Group Discussions with students on the topic. She gave Chocolates to every positive response of students, which increased enthusiasm, and boosted the confidence of students who started working in teams and eventually, the environment became more learning and interactive.
The programme convener Ch Shobha Rani conducted Quizzes, Debates, and Riddles completion and Riddles competitions for students and faculty. Vice Principal Srilatha, IQAC Coordinator M.M Laxmi, faculty members Jaya Raju, J.Uma Rani, Sujatha, Muralidher, R. Sridher, Anwar, Sunitha, Swarna, Devdas, Naresh and students were present. The programme concluded with the proposal of a vote of thanks by co-convener JVR Archana.
