HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 05, 2026: A grand Freshers’ party celebration was organised with great enthusiasm at Government Degree College Rajendranagar (Shamshabad). Prominent local leaders Smt Sushma Mahender Reddy, Sri Dudala Venkatesh Goud, Sri Sanjay Yadav and Sri Melaka Venkatesh attended the programme and encouraged the students.
Addressing the gathering, the local leaders assured their support in pursuing permanent land allotment for the college at the government level. They stated that MLA Sri T. Prakash Goud is seriously pursuing the issue with the concerned authorities for the development of the institution.
Principal M. Himabindu, addressing the first-year students, emphasised the importance of academic excellence, discipline, regular attendance, time management and active participation in curricular and extracurricular activities. She advised students to utilise the available educational opportunities, develop their skills and work towards achieving their career goals.
An audio-visual presentation highlighting the college’s three-year developmental journey was showcased. Colourful cultural performances by students, including classical, folk and group dances, added vibrancy to the celebrations. The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
