KARIMNAGAR, JULY 21, 2024: Guru Poornima was celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm all over the city and district on Sunday. Temples that of Shirdi Sai Baba in particular, were thronged by devotees all through the day.
Guru Purnima is a very auspicious religious celebration which is observed to honour the academic and spiritual gurus marking a time to honour the profound role of gurus in spiritual and personal growth. This includes visiting temples and ashrams to offer prayers and perform puja ceremonies dedicated to gurus.
As part of Guru Poornima celebrations, Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS) (autonomous) on the outskirts of Karimnagar town celebrated Guru Poornima with religious fervour by performing special pujas, abhishekams at Sri Sai Baba temple on the premises.
JITS chairman J Sagar Rao and his wife J Vijaya participated in the special rituals, homans, abhishekams and other rituals. Students and faculty members participated in large numbers to witness the celebrations. Special Prayers were also offered to Goddess Saraswathi which houses on the same premises on the occasion. The devotees were served prasadams on the occasion.
