TIRMALA, SEPTEMBER 09, 2026: All arrangements are complete to conduct the upcoming annual Srivari Brahmotsavams with grandeur, said TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu.
After the TTD Board meeting held under his Chairmanship alongside TTD EO Shri Muddada Ravichandra at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Wednesday, briefed the media on key decisions taken by the Board.

The Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be held from September 15 to 23 while the Navaratri Brahmotsavams will take place from October 12 to 20.
The Brahmotsavams will commence with Ankurarpanam on the evening of September 14 at 7pm.
Dwajarohanam will be conducted in Meena Lagnam on September 15 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
On September 15, the CM of AP N Chandrababu Naidu, on behalf of the State Government, will offer pattu vastrams to Sri Venkateswara; comprehensive security arrangements are in place for the CM’s visit.
The Chief Minister will also participate in the Pedda Sesha Vahana Seva at 9p.m. the same day.
On September 16, the Chief Minister will inaugurate 25 electric buses donated by Reliance to TTD, unveil TTD calendars and diaries for 2027.
To meet devotees’ demand for ensuing Brahmotsavams, a buffer stock of 10 lakh laddus per day will be made available.
Artists from 25 states across India, as well as from Singapore and Germany, will participate in the Brahmotsavams.
For devotee safety, 3,000 police personnel and 2,500 TTD vigilance and security staff will be deployed.
To further improve sanitation in Tirumala, 3,000–3,300 additional staff will be engaged.
This year, Garuda Seva is expected to draw 15–20% more devotees than last year; arrangements have been scaled accordingly.
On the day of Garuda Seva, while 6.13 lakh devotees were served anna prasadam last year, arrangements are in place to serve 9.30 lakh devotees this year — a 52% increase.
With lakhs of devotees expected, all arrangements are being made in coordination with the district administration.
Work is progressing at full speed across all segments: darshan, accommodation, annaprasadam, transport, security, medical services, sanitation, power, and floral decorations.
TTD’s primary objective is to ensure a comfortable darshan, safe environment, and improved facilities for every pilgrim.
In coordination with TTD, Police, and district authorities, comprehensive measures have been implemented to prevent any inconvenience to devotees.
TTD is fully prepared to conduct the Srivari Brahmotsavams successfully, with devotion and grandeur, ensuring no inconvenience to pilgrims.
Other key decisions of the TTD Board includes:
Enhancing accident insurance for families of TTD employees who die due to accidents in Tirumala from ₹3 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
Introducing a Life Insurance Scheme for pilgrims who pass away due to natural causes in Tirumala — a first-of-its-kind initiative in temple administration in India; ₹2 lakh will be paid to the family of the deceased devotee.
Extending EHF facilities to retired CPS/NPS pensioners and their families, on par with OPS/pensioners.
IOCL has offered to set up a bio-gas plant using food waste from Annaprasadam centres, canteens, and hotels via water hydrolysis; approval granted to award operation and maintenance to M/s GPS Renewables at ₹2.80 crore.
Proposals sent for government approval to create 400 additional outsourcing worker posts to accelerate laddu production during peak periods.
Salary enhancements approved for 48 slmpc employees across various TTD departments.
₹1.60 crore sanctioned over three years to pay transport charges for additional sanitation staff deployed in Tirumala.
Approval granted for gold plating of the Padma Peetham of Goddess Padmavathi at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Narayanavanam.
Approval granted for gold plating of the Dhwajastambham and Balipeetham at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Chennai, at a cost of ₹17.05 crore.
Licence period for the TTD building allotted to the Telugu and Sanskrit Academies in Tirupati extended to three years (02-11-2026 to 01-11-2029).
The meeting was attended by several board members in person while a few on virtual platform besides the TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, JEOs Dr. A. Sharath, Sri Prabala Gopinath, CVSO Sri K.V. Muralikrishna, and other officers.
