KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER, 27, 2024: Retired employees of Fertilizer Corporation of India, Ramagundam staged a dharna in front of the PF office in Karimnagar for hiking of EPS-95 Pension on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the retired employees of FCI led by NSR Murthy said that they had launched several agitations and represented the issue by writing letters to the Prime Ministers, Finance, Labour Ministers and others for over two decades, but in vain. The EPF 95 pensioners were getting only Rs 1,000 as pension and they were demanding the government to increase the pension to at least Rs 7,500 per month.
Mr Murthy reminded that the National Agitation Committee members had met PM and Ministers for the last 10 years but there has been no response from the government. He said that more than 70 lakh retirees in the country were suffering because of EPS 95 policy.
