

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 23, 2025: To provide a propitious environment where the young talents would think out of the box and have a great learning experience, the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for women in Nagunuru, Karimnagar town, celebrated the World Book Day and English Language Day on Wednesday (April 23, 2025).


On this occasion, the college has conducted various engaging activities involving the students. The celebrations began with the Principal T Malathi and others paying floral tributes to the portrait of legendary playwright William Shakespeare on the occasion of his birth and death anniversary. The principal apprised the students of the need to learn, read, write and listen to the English language to gain fluency. The students expressed their views on the need for the English language at the international level as it is the main language in which work gets done.
The event was brimming with creative energy, featuring a variety of competitions such as story writing, poetry composition, song performances, quizzes, and book reviews, along with activities celebrating language and literature. Students who excelled in these competitions were awarded prizes, with Vice Principal G Samata applauding their enthusiasm and dedication. The occasion saw the enthusiastic participation of the English department team, including HoD V Ambica, G. Shalini, M. Rajitha, Librarian R. Lalitha, senior faculty members K. Radhika and Geetharani, and other distinguished staff, making it a truly memorable celebration.
