KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 26, 2026: The pious occasion of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, Eid-e-Milad-un Nabi, was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. Various religious programmes were organised in the district on the occasion.
A massive procession (Juloos) was carried out from Saravaran Masjid to Kareemullah Shah Dargah, traversing all important streets of the town such as R&B Guest House, Indira Chowk, Bus Station area, etc., during which devotees carried a holy chaddar.
Collector Chitra Mishra and Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam participated in the procession and termed the day as pious, as Prophet Mohammed had arrived on earth on this day to propagate communal harmony, love, peace, brotherhood and lending a helping hand to the poor and needy. They said Prophet Mohammed spread the message of humanity and brotherhood and was a messenger of the Almighty.
Prophet Muhammad’s birthday is considered an auspicious day amongst Muslims. He was born in Rabi’ ul-awwal in the year 570 AD. He is the founder of Islam, and his teachings, as reflected in the Hadith, have influenced many across the world, as he urged his followers to practice selflessness and forgiveness. He died on his 63rd birthday. In Islam, Prophet Muhammad was the last prophet and final messenger of God.
Former Wakf board chairman SA Mohsin, DCC urban president V Anjan Kumar, City Congress minority cell president Ahmed Ali, Congress leaders Arshad Ali, Haji Khan, Habeebuddin, Haji Abdul Rahman and others were also present.
