HYDERABAD, MAY 22, 2025: The Drugs Control Administration, Government of Telangana is pleased to announce the launch of its official handle on X (formerly known as Twitter). The official handle — @DCATelangana — is now live and operational.
This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing public engagement and effective dissemination of vital information concerning the safety, quality, and efficacy of medicines in the State of Telangana.
This platform is intended for:
- Sharing the works and actions taken by the department
- Disseminating general information for public awareness
- Sharing advisories on matters related to drugs & pharmaceuticals concerning public health
- Receiving public grievances and suggestions
The Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, invites all stakeholders, healthcare professionals, industry representatives, and the general public to actively follow @DCATelangana on X and participate in our shared mission of ensuring the availability of genuine and quality medicines in the State.

DCA Director Shahnawaz Qasim said the public may report any suspected manufacturing activity related to drugs, including narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, in residential, commercial, or industrial areas, as well as any other complaints regarding illegal activities concerning medicines, through the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana Toll-Free Number 1800-599-6969, which is operational from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on all working days.
