KARIMNAGAR, JULY 22, 2025: Under the auspices of the Telugu Department of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Nagunuru, Karimnagar, the concluding ceremony of Dasarathi’s Centenary Celebrations was held grandly on Tuesday.
The chief guest, Bural Chandrasekhar, delivered a lecture on “Dasarathi – Cinema Lyric Literature”. He vividly explained the progressive path, social perspective, and humanistic values reflected in the devotional philosophy of Dasarathi’s film songs. He illustrated how Dasarathi inspired the people of Telangana with his powerful verses like “O Nizamu Pishaachama…” and “Naa Telangana Koti Ratnala Veena…” which fiercely opposed the Nizam’s rule. He enlightened the students on Dasarathi’s vision for an egalitarian society embedded in his writings.
Principal T. Malathi, Vice Principal S. Padmaja, ACO Vasumathi, Suresh Kumar, Venkateshwarlu, Kavitha, Renuka, Shankarayya, Radhika, Geetharani, along with other faculty members and students, participated and made the event a grand success. On this occasion, Chandrasekhar was felicitated by the college management.
