A student dies under suspicious circumstances in the hostel
JAGTIAL, JULY 27, 2024: Jagtial Collector B Satya Prasad on Saturday suspended Metpally mandal Peddapur residential school principal K Vidyasagar on the charges of dereliction of his duties.
Following the suspicious death of a student of the residential school
Rajarapu Ganaditya (13) on Friday, the Collector visited the residential school and interacted with the inmates and found that the principal had neglected his legitimate duties and caused death of a student.
A resident of Arepeta of Metpalli mandal, Ganadiya was a Class VIII student in the Peddapur residential school in Metpally mandal. Around 1 am, he started vomiting and fell unconscious after some time. The management instead of shifting the student to the hostel had informed his parents to visit the hostel and shift him to hospital.
Alleging that the hostel management was responsible for the death of the student, the parents of the student staged dharna and demanded against the principal for his negligent attitude.
