KARIMNAGAR, JULY 06, 2024: Collector Pamela Satpathy has formally launched the Telangana state under-13 chess tournament in Thimmapur on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Saturday by making first few moves of the chess competitions.
Launching the chess competitions organised by Genius chess academy at a function hall in Thimmapur, the Collector called upon the students to excel in the chess tournament which would improve their intelligence and memory power. Reminding that chess grand master Pragnanand and his sister Vaishali were excelling in the chess and bringing reputation to the country, she blessed the students a very good luck in the competitions.
She said that the chess was a game would ignite the inner passions. She said that she would also practice chess game. TNGOs district president and secretary Daram Srinivas Reddy and Sangam Laxmana Rao, corporator Kamalajith Kaur, tahsildar Kanakaiah, Genius chess academy and tournament director Kankati Anoop and its founder Kankati Kanakaiah and others were also present.
