HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 09, 2025: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unveiled virtually the Telangana Thalli statues in the district Collectorates from the venue of the Global Summit at the Bharat Future City on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister recalled that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi announced the start of the official process for Telangana state formation on December 9, 2009. The announcement brought cheers and upheld the self-respect of the Telangana people. Commemorating December 9, we decided to celebrate the day as the unveiling day of Telangana Thalli statues in the people’s government.
As part of that, the state government has already unveiled the statue of Telangana Thalli at the state Secretariat and given inspiration to the administration. The Chief Minister said that “Today, we are unveiling the Telangana Thalli statues in all the district Collectorates”.
The CM also remembered that Sonia Gandhi made the promise of granting statehood for Telangana in Karimnagar in 2004. Coincidentally, Sonia Gandhi is also celebrating her birthday on December 9, on the same day she fulfilled the promise and aspirations of the Telangana people.
The Chief Minister reiterated that we will celebrate Telangana Thalli statue unveiling day and Sonia Gandhi’s birthday as long as the Telangana State exists. Deputy CM Mallu Batti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and others were also present.
